Daniele, John A. , age 70, died on Thursday evening, August 6, 2009, at his Millis home.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late John A. and Josephine (Barbieri) Daniele. He was a 1956 graduate of Weymouth High School and served with the U.S. Air Force from 1959 – 1963, and earned a bachelor’s degree at the Boston University School of Business in 1965.


First and foremost a family man, John’s interests were food, he was a fanatic New England Patriots fan from the establishment of its team and enjoyed numerous other sports as well, travel, having traveled to Europe 14 times and cruises 10 times in the last 10 years, as well as music and theater.

John was employed as a stockbroker and manufacturers rep prior to establishing New England Associates. He garnered many awards during his career among them Top Salesman Award, President’s Award, and a honeymoon trip from Fox Marketing.

He is survived by his wife, Jude Daniele; a special niece, Beth “B.B.” Vasconcellos of Weymouth, and a special nephew, Timothy “T.D.” Vasconcellos of Plymouth, NH, children of the late Alan Vasconcellos (his best friend and brother-in-law) a sister-in-law Leanne Vasconcellos; his parents-in-law, Albert and Mary Vasconcellos; two sisters, Dorothy Hoelting and husband Paul William, their 7 children and spouses, 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, and Evelyn Dolejs and husband Dick; two sisters-in- law, Marina Boyd and husband Percel, and Joann Vasconcellos; and a brother-in-law, Albert Vasconcellos and wife Theresa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 82 Exchange Street, Millis, on Tuesday, Aug. 11th at 10:00a.m. Burial with military honors will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours will be at the Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home, 90 Curve Street, Millis, Monday 4 – 8p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to the America Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Rd. Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451 or Habitat for Humanity, 240 Commercial St. #4B, Boston, MA 02109.
