Parrella, Jean M. (Casey)
, 67, of Franklin where she has been a resident for the past 18 years, died Sunday, February 14th, 2010, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 10th, 1942 in Milford, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Palma) Casey. Jean was educated in the Millis Public Schools with the class of 1960.
Formerly of Medway and Millis, Jean had been employed for many years with the W.A. Wilde Company in Holliston until her retirement in 2005.
Jean enjoyed cooking and loved playing cards with her friends. Her biggest enjoyment in life was her family, especially the grandchildren, her friends and her home.
Jean leaves three children, John L. Parrella and his wife Patricia of Franklin, Christine M. O’Rourke and her husband Christopher of Milford and Brian M. Parrella and his fiancé Aoife Carney of Quincy, two sisters, Eileen Trombetta of Marlborough and Patricia Whalen of Norton, as well as 4 grandchildren, Amanda and Andrew Parrella and Katelyn and Molly O’Rourke.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, February 18th at 10:00AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 82 Exchange Street, Millis. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Marlborough.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, February 17th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home, 90 Curve Street, Millis.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s memory to The American Cancer Society. , 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
